So...I'm starting on these pictograms...this is about all I've got so far...this is supposed to be a retro look to modern buildings. Check it. Definitely not the final.
My name is Albert. This is my blog. I am way awesome. Getting to know me is in your best interest. I love to spend time outdoors and mess with computers. I especially love mountain biking and aggressive inline skating. This is a blog of my artwork produced on the path to graduating in Graphic Design, as well as other miscellaneous items I feel like posting. Yeah.

Phase numero dos of Pictogram Project-Computers and Art
This is the second phase of my project. Here I have gone with a few basic ideas that were given to me, and I'm trying to figure out a good way to integrate them. I'm not sure if I should keep a similar perspective with all 3 pictograms, or use variety of perspectives on the piece. The way I would approach the shading in these would be very similar to the BLM posters I had previously mentioned. Well, here we are:

Thumbnails for Pictograph Assignment
So...yeah, time to upload my joyous thumbnails! I still don't have a full grip on this blog thing...cause I am not a huge fan of blogging in general, but we'll see how this works out. Anyways, following this statement is some scans of thumbnails I sketched up from my amazing imagination. Good stuff.

I really like the idea of the Southwest Icons. I like the painting style of Thomas Moran. I believe that's his name. I think it'd be cool to have "tourism icons" for people to relate to the Southwest. I really dig these US Dept of Interior/NPS Posters that you can see on this website:
That's kind of my inspiration for these pictograms in the "Southwest" style icons.
I also think the biking/skating/scootering combo has some potential. I'd like to make them really simple like the bike logo idea, but lack the skills to do so.
